Use cases, trade-offs, and adoption
Nim is a strong candidate for C-library wrappers, CLIs, system tools, parsers, compilers, DSLs, native graphics integrations, and selected web services. Its main practical limitation is a smaller ecosystem: cloud SDKs, data/AI packages, enterprise middleware, OS wrappers, and IDE tooling can be thinner than in mainstream languages.
Before adoption, build a vertical slice that validates target builds, native dependencies, CI, artifact delivery, debugging, and agreed limits on advanced language features. Base the decision on real deployment and dependencies, not only language comparisons.
